Local poet William Wordsworth once wrote:

"My heart leaps up when I behold

A rainbow in the sky"

Frustratingly, throughout our rally weekend, rainbows were very few and far between and almost the entire time it was very wet, even for the Lake District with Sunday’s usual line-up on the main field all but impossible under the conditions.

Sheltering from the rain

Despite the weather, we were pleased that so many did make the effort to attend, with a few brave souls staying from the Wednesday right through to the Monday, which apparently even gave them the opportunity to see the sun once or twice!
With such magnificent surroundings, once stocked up with copius amounts of the world’s best Grasmere Gingerbread, the road runs could be nothing other than breathtaking for our brave micronauts, with the Lakeland Motor Museum in particular offering a cornucopia of transport delights within and without to satisfy all and sundry.
Thanks again to everyone who came, and we hope to see you all again at next years rally.
